IceClan's Domain

Arrow J. Switcher is a normal teenager with the hatred for all animals, cats especially. He lives the free-spirited life of an unschooled loner, and has never been caught for his animal crimes. However, his life is turned upside-down when one day he awakens turned into a cat and finds himself in the future of Earth! But the future is not what Arrow expected. All of the humans have moved up to outer space, leaving the animals to dominate the world. He then soon runs into the domain of IceClan, a Clan of wild cats that help him to learn about the ways of animals. But will Arrow actually change his view of animal life and help save IceClan and the other Clans from their ultimate demise?


OOC: Hm, I guess you can post first, Drey.

OOC: Okay, lets see now....

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon. Destiny stared out the orphanage window in an almost dreamy state, waiting for something to happen so she could be let outside. the caretakers were busy doing, well, nothing while most of the kids found somthing to do. She was by herself, like she often was.
But she didn't mind. She could feel peaceful when she's by herself, and think about good things.
Hers eyes focused on the street outside she something moved. A little kitten was shivering underneath a little area umbrellaed from the rain.
Destiny gave a small "oh!" and left the window.
"Destiny, where are you going?"
She grabbed her raincoat and went out the door, ignoring everyones cries to come back in.

Arrow was taking shelter underneath the roof of the orphange, lost in thought. He was next to the window Destiny was by, but was out of her sight range. Arrow was few feet away from the kitten, and he just scoffed when a girl came out of the orphanage to rescue it.

Destiny pulled her hood up at she stepped out into the rain. The pour kitty, it's all alone in the rain...
She picked it up and coddled it, cooing it's feeble cried. "There there, it's alright little one. I'll protect you."

Arrow watched intently with hatred. How could someoen be that kind to animals? They were nothing but creatures constantly out to get the human race. He had learned that the hard way. Arrow sighed and took out a cigarrette, put it in his mouth, and lighted it with his lighter. He shook the flame out, put the lighter back in his pocket, took the cigar in his index and middle finger and blew a smoke ring. "Why are you saving that little wretch like it was the last one of its kind?" he asked Destiny, a slight hint of hatred in his voice.

OOC: I've changed up how his parents were killed a little, but you'll discover it later. Btw, should we have the people in the town know who Arrow is?

OOC: *shrugs* I really don't know. if you're not sure, it's best to let the story decide on it's own.

Destiny spun around at the voice, and saw the guy. Her surprise went away when she answered him.
"I think all life in this world should be valued. Too often people take for granted all the amazing things we have and throw it all away."

Arrow chuckled a little. "All life should be valued, huh? If that's the way it works, why don't animals think the same way? They're not that amazing, in my opinion." He put the cigar back in his mouth.

The kitten curled up on the inside of her hood.
"Animals can be just like humans, too. Some act the way you do, too, and take the life of other things for granted and live with a grudge. No one is perfect."
At that moment the orphanage caretaker finally appeared at the entrance. "Destiny! Get back in here before you catch a cold!" She didn't notice the kitten Destiny had.
"Yes ma'am," she said in submission, and procceeded back inside. The lady gave Arrow a look of contempt and disgust before closer the door shut. Destiny retreated to a little corner in the room, feeding the kitten some scraps she always saved from mealtime.

Arrow blew a smoke ring again and sighed. "Well, she wouldn't be thinking that way if she went through the Hell I've been through." He then sat down, debating on what to do next.

OOC:Um, what DO we do next?

OOC: We could have the rain clear up and Destiny come and talk to Arrow or something. They won't be sent to the future for a while, yet.

OOC: alrighty then.

Eventually the rain cleared, and the children were allowed outside to play. Destiny snuck the kitten out again and sat it down in some grass. The cute little thing mewed and playfully batted at her toes. Destiny gave a sweet giggle that rang in the street.
Then she spotted Arrow again, and straightened up. "Are you lost or something?"

Arrow was leaning casually against the building, eyes closed and the cigarrette still in his mouth. He opened one eye and took it out again. "Nope. I just travel around. I never stay in one place."

She put both hands on her hips and smiled. "If that's true then how come you're still here, hmm?"

Arrow just laughed. "Well, I need to rest sometimes, don't I? I guess I shouldn't have said never. Besides, I meant that I never stay in one city for too long."

"Hm," she said thoughtfully, then giggled.

He looked at her in surprise. "What's so funny?"

"You're more like an animal than you think. You do what you want, go where you want, but still need some place to rest and feel secure. Like a stray cat. Or like this guy, only not as cute," she added, picking the kitten up. The grey little thing mewed.

OCC: finally got a color, though it wasn't what I was expecting.

OOC: Good. I actually imagined Relic as a grey cat.

Arrow rolled his eyes, no offense taken from the cute comment. "I might be like a stray cat, but I'm definatley not going to be near one or become one." He stood. "Well, I gotta go. Good luck finding a home." And with that, Arrow walked off.

OOC: Oh yeah, he's gonna fall in love with Destiny alright.

OOC: Yep! Oh hey, I figured out how to play Get Out Alive on my guitar! It sounds so awesome! I can almost sing along with it while I'm playing.

Later that night, Destiny woke up. It was like something called to her, telling her it's time to go. And Destiny, always following her instincts, got out of her bed and grabbed her coat, sneaking out of the orphanage.
Once she got outside, though, she didn't know where to go. suddenly she felt lost and alone, as if the moment she stepped outside the building she officially had no home.
The little grey kitten mewed at her feet. Destiny picked it up and coddled it. Now she was like this little kitten, too. A stray.
Her instints came back, and she started following the path the boy had taken earlier in the day.

OOC: Awesome! You'll have to bring your guitar next time you come over and play it! And maybe teach me, too...

Arrow jut kept wandering, but he was going slower than usual. He saw there was no need to rush. No one knew him here, and no one ever would. He still thought about what that girl said, but it still didn't change his reaction towards the occasional stray cat walking by. I'm more like an animal than I think? Give me break. I understand the stray cat part, but...

The little kitten mewed in her arms, and she set it down. He sniffed the ground for a moment, and went prancing one way on it's tiny paws. Destiny followed, and then she saw the boy from earlier, just walking casually. She ducked behind a building, but the little kitten went right up behind him and fell in step with his feet.

Arrow could sense someone or something behind him. He turned around and looked down at the kitten, then kind of backed up a little. "Oh, it's you." He took the cigarette he had and threw it in a nearby dumpster. "Kind of strayed a little far, didn't you?" he asked, looking in the girl's direction.

Destiny poked her head out from behind, caught. "Yes, I suppose I have."
The kitten mewed and padded back to her. She came closer to pick it up.

"Why are you following me? It's dangerous out here alone, especially for girls."
