He laughed. "I'd watch that attitude if I were you," he grinned back. "Alright, here we go!"
He led the way down to the entrance gates and was waved past. Memeories flooded him floaded him once again as he flew over his child-hood surroundings. But this time, they were of happier ones.
He landed with ease and returned to human, then waited for the rest to follow suit.

Sephen and Soul landed next to each other and turned human as well.

Drey turned towards the others. "Alright. You all can have a look around, get to know the lay of the place, and don't go anywhere you don't think you're supposed to be. By sun-down meet in front of the receiving hall. Understood?"
"Yessir!" they chorused.
Sadiir was already giddy with bragging. "I"VE already been here," he explained to the others, and that seem to have gotten them to stick around him. Drake shook his head. He practically grew up here himself, but he didn't say it.

Sephen shook his head as he watched his brother go with Sadiir, then he turned to Drake. "Care to show Soul and I around?"

"Um, sure," Drake said.
"Except Soul has to come with me," Drey said. "I want him to meet my brother first before we go see the Elders. But you're welcome to tag along. Oh," he added towards Drake with a wink. "And technically I'm semi-off duty now."
Drake brightened. He knew what that meant. "Come on, let's go!" he said excitedly to the others.

Sephen nodded, and Soul turned to Drey. "Well then, let's get this over with."

Drey gave him a kind of tired-yet-amused smiled, and led the way into the inner part of the castle.
There were guards posted outside the study where he was suppost to be. "Is the King within?" he asked them.
"Yes your majesty, but he's requested that no one desturbs him."
"He'll make an exception," Drey said, pushing on past them. They protested, but Drey smoothed it over and told them they wouldn't be repremended. They opened the door and let them in.
A man with long, messy black hair was slung over a study desk, a book over underneath his snoring head. Drey shook his head and restrained himself from laughing, and gave the other three a "be quiet" signal as he made his way to the desk.

Sephen covered his mouth while Soul looked on with a hint of amusement on his face.

Drey stood next to the man and attempted to look passive as he poked him in the head. "Hey, Adriane, wake up."
Snore...
He grinned and took a deep breath. "RISE AND SHINE!"
"I DIDN'T DO IT I SWEAR!" Adriane yelled and bolted upright, looking alarmed. He turned and looked up at Drey, surprised. "Oh. Hey Drey."
Drey crossed his arms and grinned. "And what did you do this time?"
"Huh? What are you talking about?" But Drey laughed.
He gave his brother a playful punch. "I thought you once told me you were going to be the greatest king in the world, and here i find you lazing on the job while i'm out busting my butt."
Adriane grinned. "I'll gladly trade you if you want."
"No way, you're stuck where you are."
He laughed, and then noticed the others. "Hey, there's my little nephew! Who're these others you've brought?"

Sephen stepped forward. "I'm Sephen. I'm in Drake's group and one of his friends. And this is Soul." he said, pointing to the hybrid.
Soul nodded in respect. "Nice to meet you."

"Oh yeah, I forgot you were a DragonKnight now. Jeez, you gotta stop growing, kid. You're making me feel old."
Drey nodded for Soul to come. "This was the person I wanted you to meet." Drey explained.

Soul looked at Adriane. "I hope the drake smell doesn't offend you."

"Nah, you've got enough dragon in ya. Try growing up with this one," he jabbed Drey with his thumb. "Smelled of nothing but human the whole time."
"I did not!" Drey protested. "You should talk, coming home from who knows where every time and saying, "Who needs baths?"
Adriane laughed and punched him in the shoulder. "You weren't supposed to bring that up anymore, smart one!
"Well anyway," he stood up and stretched, and took a good look at Soul. "So your a drake and dragon hybrid. Well, that's pretty ironic right there."

He shrugged. "I never met my parents, so don't ask how it happened. But yeah, I'm a dragon/drake hybrid, but mostly dragon, I think."

"Well, Drey here thinks you're okay, so you're alright in my book."
Drey gave him a look. "Are you sure? You don't think I'm just sympathizing with him and letting emotions rule over reason?"
"Welll, are you?"
"No."
"Do your instincts tell you he's alright?"
"Yeah."
"Well there you go. I trust your instincts."
Drey eyed him. "What about your intincts?"
"My instincts tell me i can trust your instincts," he grinned.
He sighed. "Lazy as always." Then he smiled at Soul. "Now just to win over the Elder and we're good to go."
Adriane gave a start. "What's the Elder got to do with this?"
"That's why I wanted him to meet you first. Apparently it's too important for just the southern division to decide whether he's dangerous or not."
Adriane grimaced. "Those old bags...it's not like the kid's a Fury...." he suddenly glanced at Soul. "You're not a Fury, are you?"

Soul tilted his head to one side. "What's a Fury?"

"I guess that answers my question," he snickered. "Well, don't you worry kid. If they give you any beef, I'll give them a good talking-to."
"You sound like an old man, Adriane. Nobody says beef anymore."
"Aw, c'mon Drey lighten up!" he grinned.

Soul laughed. "You're nice Adriane. I like you."

Adriane seemed to look genuinly surprised, then smiled. "Thanks kid. You're not so bad yourself."
Drey seemed to look proud. "I guess your not so bad with kids after all."
"Oh, hey, while we're on that subject..." he was suddenly grinning with uncontained eagerness. "You're not going to be the only dad around here anymore."
"What are you-?" then it clicked. "No way!"
Adriane laughed. "Yep!"
"Laia's pregnant?!"
"Yep!"
Drey laughed and punched him in the shoulder, grinning. "Congragulations!"
"Now it's YOUR turn to be the babysitting-uncle!"

Soul and Sephen just looked at each other and smiled.

OOC: YAY! Good for Adriane!

OOC: I know! I'm grinning so hard my cheeks hurt right now! and guess what: he get's TWINS! Lol!

"So I get cousins?!" Drake said, excited. "Wait 'till Mom hears!"
"What did Dad do when he found out?"
"Oh, he stared at me for a while, then sat down on in the chair saying, "I'm too old for this," " Adriane said, exagerating his voice in a mock versian of the previous king and laughed.
Drey kept grinning when he noticed the books lying open on the desk. "So what were you reading until you fell asleep?"
"Huh? Oh, nothing. Dad said I needed to read up on the history, since that wasn't really ever my strong point. Plus, I'm trying to find a way to make the acceptance of some rules being broken easier on everyone, specifically the one concerning dragons and humans."
"I bet the Elders aren't too happy about that."
"Nope. I think I'm making them frustrated, with my 'unorthodox ways.' but I got Dad and Darren to back me up, and they respect both of them too much."
"Which sadly reminds we that we need Soul to meet them."

"Unfortunatley." Soul growled.

"Well, you guys better get going then. We're having a feast tonight, so be sure to come."
"Will do," Drey said, and wave him goodbye as he exited the study.

Soul and Sephen followed.
