The Misadventures of Seth and Drey

OOC: Lol, fart jokes! Drey even laughed.

I sighed, calming down. "Professor...what's-his-face probably wouldn't have had his note in here anyways. If we can pick up his trail along the caverns, maybe we can find where he stashed them. If not...we may have to hope it wears off or be stuck with being kids for a while."

OOC: That actually was pretty funny. Seth didn't laugh though, 'cause he's too dull...

I sighed. "Oh, just wonderful. Why do we always get stuck in predicaments like this?"
Kuroi, on the other hand seemed to be enjoying himself, smirking the whole time. But, after being stuck inside my soul for over 30 years, I couldn't really blame him.

OOC: so immature *sais the guy who told the joke *

I sighed. At least someone was enjoying this. "I just hope we don't run into-"
"Hey boss!"
"...Kragis."
Kragis appeared out of my shadow (again) grinning. "Hey, what's up--hey! Where are you?!"
I narrowed my eyes. "Down here," I grumbled.
He stared at me, blinking a couple of times. "Um...did you get shorter?"
I growled. "Oh, shut up."
Then he stared at everyone. "Did you all get shorter? What the heck happened?"

I spread my wings and lowered my ears, and Kuroi just stopped and stared at Kragis. "You call going from human to demon form getting shorter?" I growled.

"Well, considering I'm now the tallest one here, yeah." Then he grinned in thought. "I kinda like it this way..."

Kuroi looked up at Kragis, still smirking. "You know what? I do, too."
"You would." I growled.

K: lets just get out of here already

"Alright come on; I know the way." I took the lead, turning down a corridor and following it to a certain point, then turning right back around and down a new path. Kragis fell in step behind me, just like old times...except now I was half his size.

I ran after Drey and kept a steady pace, not attempting to fly. At this age, I knew I would just run into everything. Kuroi followed beside me, but for some reason was no longer smirking. Well, at least for the moment.

We continued down the corridor, and then I stopped. I waited until everyone was here, then counted to 32, and turned around. A door had appeared behind us.
"Here's out exit," I said, opening it.
Kragis looked at me. "How do you do that? I've lived in these places longer than you have and I still get lost down here!"
"I'm a bit more in tune to this place's darkness," I answered blandly.

I looked at the door, slightly confused.
"Since when did you have the power to make doors appear out of nowhere?" Kuroi inquired.

"I don't," I said. "It's just the way this place works. All I'm doing is predicting what it will do next."

"Nice, so who wants to go first?"
Kuroi looked at me as if the answer was obvious.
"Don't even think about it." I snapped.

I sighed in annoyance. "I told you guys, this is the exit," I said, slipping out into the sunlight. Almost as soon as the rays hit me, I felt a weird jolt inside, and suddenly the Fury receded. I was back to normal.
"Huh." Interesting...

I took a step outside... and sighed. Kuroi and I remained the same, but I was sort of happy about that. I turned to Drey and noticed that his Fury side had ebbed away. "What in the world?"

OOC: He's still a kid, fyi. Just not a Fury anymore.

"Maybe I'm alergic to sunlight," I grinned back at him.
"I don't know about you, but I am," Kragis said, stepping underneath the shadow of a large boulder.
I glanced around, taking the barren wasteland. "This place seems familiar..."
Kragis did too. "Yeah...wow, I almost feel nostalgic."
I raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
He shrugged. "I don't know. I feel...I know this place...

OOC: Can you guess where it is?

OOC: Um, idk. Kragis's old home?

Kuroi walked out a little bit, taking in the scenery with his one eye. "It almost looks like home. Well, at least the layout does."
I smiled at Drey, then looked at Kuroi. "You mean the demon realm?"
He nodded. "The part of it where we Soul Eaters dwell, yes."

OOC: dingdingdingding!

"Well, I don't think this is the demon world; I think we've surfaced in the Shadow Lands. It the home of, well, all the bad things, more specifically the drakes."
Then I saw something from the corner of my eye dart among the rocks.
"Someone's here," I muttered lowly, and motioned my head towards the rock as I stalked foreward myself.

*Kain falowed them closely trying to take in everything that was happening*

K: someone wana explane this one for me?

Kuroi stood still, and I followed Drey. I looked back at Kain and whispered, "Have you been deaf this whole time?"

K: i heard him dip shit but i've never heard of the shadow lands

My ear twitched in annoyance, but I held back the rude comment I was about to throw at him. "Well, I have, but I never clearly understood what they were."

K: well then would you care to explane Drey?

They're the lands that lie south of the dragon realm, where basically all the dark, evil creatures are. We're really deep south, probably as far as the drake's territory.
I pinpointed the newcomer, and didn't like the scent. Though I couldn't place it, it seemed familiar somehow...
"Kragis," I murmured. He nodded, and we both moved with quick speed around the rocks, staying out of sight.
You guys circle around him and block off any escapes. Stay alert; you can't trust anything from this far in.
