The Misadventures of Seth and Drey: Part Two

I growled even louder. "Yeah, but who's idea was it to go to the bar and have a drink? Before you even answer, it was you. It's all your fault we missed our chance. I tried to tell you guys not to drink too much, but no, you all just had to ignore me."

K: yah but i didnt drink that much... well not for me anyway

"True, but you never told me what time we should've left, so I couldn't watch it. We need to be more responsible timewise if we're going to get that key." I blinked. Wait, did that just come out of my mouth? And I'm supposed to be the youngest.

K: whatever man

OOC: Since Flames will no longer be on for the time being, we can't really do much in this world. So I guess we'll just say they found the key, and Kain decided to hang around in this period and told Seth and Drey not to wait up or something like that. That sound good Seth? Oh, and btw, you choose the world next.

OOC: Yeah, sounds good. Alright, just hold on a minute while I think of the world.

OOC: Alright, I've got a world. let's just say they already stepped through the portal and met the last deity or whatever.

I stepped through into a world that seemed familiar, but yet it sent chills down my spine. I took in my surroundings, and saw a destroyed city. "Oh my god..."

I stared. "What on earth happened here?!"

"I dunno, but it looks very familiar-" I stopped, for that's when I saw it. The sign that read Crystal City. "Ah shit. Cyrus wasn't kidding about using the XD projects to destroy and take over Eartheria. Take a look." I said, pointing at the large, black building looming overhead. "He's already called it home."

My eyes widened in shock as I recognized it too. "Dear ancestors...." I felt a new rage fill me. This was Seth's home, full of memories, good memories... It shouldn't have to have this one added to them.

I stared for a few moments, taking in the horrible vision of my home. The place where friendships first started, where love was-Hold up. That's when I remembered. "Maia!" I yelled, and started running as fast as I could to where her apartment was. There're still some buildings up. Maybe her apartment was spared... I thought to myself.

I raced after him, having a horrible feeling in my gut. "Wait, Seth!"

I didn't wait nor respond. I couldn't stop, but the feeling of dread begged me to stop, to not look. When I made it there, anger and sadness weighted my heart down like someone had stuffed a rock into it. The apartment was gone, burned to the ground. I fell to my knees, tears trying to escape. "This can't... This can't be happening. Why here? Why now?" I pounded my fists on the ground with rage.
"It's my fault. I should've been here, to protect her!"

I came up beside him, staring first at the building, then at him.
"I'm so sorry, Seth..." I didn't know what to do for him. I may have had this experience before, but that didn't mean I knew how to handle it. "Hey, maybe she got away in time," was what I would have liked to say. But from my own personal experience, that wasn't going to help.

I sighed, then looked in the rubble and smiled. "Hey, at least the piano survived." I said sarcastically, standing up.

I smiled sadly. Good job Seth. Keep your spirits up. Don't fall into that pit of despair that I once had. "Yeah."

I turned around to face Drey with a determined expression on my face, and smirked. "Know I have a good reason to kick Cyrus's vindictive little ass."

I smiled back at him. "Then let's go give it a good punt."

I nodded and, turning into cat form, raced to the large castle looming overhead. As we got closer, chills of darkness began going through my spine. Disturbia and Kuroi both shuddered in fear and anticipation. When we finally reached the doors, I turned into human form and looked back at Drey.
"You ready?"


OOC: You want to do Cyrus, or you want me to?

I nodded. "Let's go."

OOC: sure; the fight would be easier to do. Ooh, should we have Brickaut's "ghost" fight drey?

OOC: YES

I took a deep breath, and opened the doors to find myself staring Cyrus right in the eye, about eight feet away from him. I growl began to rumble in my throat.

Cyrus smiled in amusement as he stared Seth down. "The prodical son returns. Have you brought the keys?"
I tensed beside Seth and retrained my own snarl, hackles raised.

I took another deep breath, not taking my eyes off of him. "Yes, every last one. But I won't hand them over, at least not until you've answered my question."

Cyrus narrowed his eyes and looked like he was about to yell, but seemed to think better of it. "Very well, what is your question?"

I took a threatening step forward, my teeth bared and eyes turning red, as if I'd turn demon any second. "What did you do with Maia?" I snarled with rage and combined anger from Kuroi and Disturbia.
