The Shadow Maker

She smiled warmly. "Yes, Seth. It's me. I have a message for you...and a request."

"A message and request... sounds good. Man, I wish I could tell Drey I saw you..."

"You may be able to, for that has to do with both the message and my request.
"The message first; you're task is not quite down. The Chosen one has not quite realized his full potential. The Ancestors, yours and ours, cannot turn back the times of fate, so that is why you are still a spirit."

I couldn't help but smile. "The Chosen One... Is your son, isn't it?"

She nodded. "That brings me to my request. Dreyden still needs you, Seth. He's learned so many things about himself, more than he's able to handle, and now he's lost you. So i ask of you, please. Be with my son in his most solemn hour that is yet to come."

I saluted. "Yes ma'am. It is my job to protect the Chosen Ones, and protect I shall. By the way, what became of Darcore?"

Her face dimished into sadness. "I fear the worst is yet to come. He still lingers in this world, but he is nothing more than a vengeful spirit. At this moment he is already possesing a new body."

I growled. "Where?"

She lowered her head. "I'm afraid i'm forbidden from revealing. But you and Drey will confront him once more. But a much greater evil, beyond even Darcore, lurks around us."

I raised an eye. "I'm guessing that you can't tell me that, either."

She shook her head. "No. This must be revealed on it's own."
Melira stepped forewards. "Before you leave, i have requested from the Ancestors to bestow upon you a gift." She leaned in and kissed Seth on the cheek. "Use it when you feel the time is right."

OOC: Just so you know, she gave him the ability to return back to the world as a shapeshifter again.

OOC: I kind of guessed.


I jerked back after she kissed me. I hadn't been kissed in over 1,000 years. "Um, thanks a lot, Melira."

She smiled. "I'm afraid that's all the time i was given. Good luck, and take care."

"Th-thank you."

Melira lowered her head, still smiling, and returned to the spirit world.
*meanwhile*

My mind was restless, even in my exhausted sleep. I kept seeing myself, first as a dragon, then as a human, then Fury, then the black and white form, and then...
What is this? This pure darkness. I...i've never felt anything like this. It's beyond even Darcore, the Fury. I twitched in my sleep. What is it? Is it me? But it doesn't feel like me. But it's inside of me, living, feeding...
I sat up, sweating. Just a nightmare. I place a hand to my cold forehead. Just a nightmare, nothing more. I'm stressed, that's all, and just faced two of the most evil creatures imaginable. Of course i'd have nightmares. It's natural.
I haven't had such a splitting head in over 600 years.

I raced over to the Floating Keep, and sat beside Dreyden.

OOC: Whoa! awesome sig!

I took deep breaths, trying to calm myself.
"This is too much," i muttered quietly. "This is beyond my capacity." I laid back down among the blue comforters of my room. I was shirtless, and my hair was let loose from the braid and out long and wild. (OOC: oh, man, i have to draw him with his hair out!) "First the DragonLord thing, then realizing i'm basically a vampire dragon, then Seth... and now this nightmare that has me questioning myself once again." I sighed and pressed both hands over my eyes. "Why couldn't i have just been normal?"

OOC: Thanks. It's from The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. It looks kind of like Seth's dragon form, doesn't it?


I put a hand on his shoulder, though I knew he couldn't feel it. "Just be lucky you're even alive." I murmered.

I lifted my hands in surprise. "Was that...?" I dropped them again, sighing. "Now i'm going crazy. On top of a headache. Great."

I jerked my hand back in surprise, then laughed. "You're not going crazy, doofus." I growled playfully, clonking him on the head like he used to do to me.

I sighed again, and yawned. I was still exhausted. But once again, just like long ago, i was afraid to go back asleep.
"Why am i such a coward?" i murmured, and rolled out of the bed. What is going to happen now? What new surprise was going to come around the corner this time?
I remembered the nightmare, and shivered. "Just a nightmare," i said again.

I yawned, almost tempted to sleep myself. "Man, Drey, do you ever do anything else exciting?"

OOC: Geez, seth doesn't have much empathy.

Force of habit had me leaving my room again and walking the halls. It was dark, but the place was empty; everyone must still be fixing the huge mess in Tendura.
I was more alone now than ever.

OOC: He does. He just doesn't show it because he doesn't want others to think he's weak. Lame excuse, but when people have lied to you and scammed you all your life, wouldn't you want to hide your true feelings?


I followed Dreyden, keeping him some company, but not much. Man, if only there was a way to at least talk to him without coming back to life...

Suddenly i was hit by a dizzy spell. A sharp, painful jolt pierce through my head, numbing it with nothing but pain.
I gripped the wall to keep from sprawling out on the ground. "Damn migrane, go away!"

OOC: I've had this before(not a migrane, this kind of pain). It's not fun at all.
